Attention PEC pals! We’re sharing a call for submissions for our first-ever puzzle book.
Assembly Press is collecting themed lists of words to be considered for inclusion in County Word Search, which is exactly what it sounds like: a book of word searches centred on and celebrating all things Prince Edward County.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A list of 20–25 words on a specific theme (think road names, types of local birds, restaurants or stores (both in and out of business), types of grapes grown here, notable house/properties, crops, hiking trails, slang, historical characters, artists, etc.)—get creative! But no profanity, please; this is an all-ages project.
- A super-brief note (like 1-2 sentences) about why you’re a good person to suggest this list OR a brief description of your local business (it’s like free advertising)
- Your name and contact info (email address is fine)
Submissions should be sent to info@assemblypress.ca and can be typed into the body of the email or sent as an attachment (Word/text doc preferred).
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JANUARY 31, 2026
If your word list is selected to be included in the book, you’ll get one free copy, and you’ll received a discount code to purchase additional copies if you like. And of course you’ll be credited in the book too!
The best part? Royalties from sales of County Word Search will be donated to the ROC Youth Services.
